چکیده

The use of satellites to provide ubiquitous coverage and connectivity for densely deployed Internet Things (IoT) networks is expected be a reality in emerging 6G networks. Yet the low battery capacity IoT nodes constitutes problem their direct satellites, which are located at altitudes up 2000 km. In this article, we propose novel architecture involving reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) units mitigate path loss associated with long transmission distances. These RIS can placed on satellite reflectarrays, and, when used broadcasting beamforming, they significant gains signal transmission. This study shows that RIS-assisted 10 5 times higher downlink achievable uplink rates

Energy-efficient Frequency Synthesizer Design for IoT

In this seminar, a ultra-low-power (ULP) frequency synthesizer design for a battery-less IoT transceiver is explained. Firstly, a theoretical basics of LC VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) is discussed especially about the trade-off between phase noise and power consumption, which can be indicated by FoM. The limit of FoM is determined by VCO topology and LC-tank quality factor. Variants of V...

Harvested Energy-adaptive Mac Protocol for Energy Harvesting Iot Networks

In energy harvesting IoT networks, an energy queue state of an IoT device will change dynamically and the number of IoT devices that transmit data to the IoT AP will vary in a frame. So we need a MAC protocol to adjust the frame length taking the amount of energy of IoT devices into consideration. Since the existing Framed slotted ALOHA (F-ALOHA) Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol utilizes th...

Spectral and Energy Efficient Wireless Powered IoT Networks: NOMA or TDMA?

Wireless powered communication networks (WPCNs), where multiple energy-limited devices first harvest energy in the downlink and then transmit information in the uplink, have been envisioned as a promising solution for the future Internet-of-Things (IoT). Meanwhile, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been proposed to improve the system spectral efficiency (SE) of the fifth-generation (5G)...
